Starting out with Procreate!

This week I started with a new course: Digital Illustration: Learn to Use Procreate
I tried out Procreate after watching the introduction video and looking at the final project the course asks it's participants to create.
Needless to say it sucked:
Why did I try to create the final project before even completing the course you asked? Oh you didn't? I'll explain anyway:
Often when completing a course or learning a new skill I feel like I've always known how to do this and probably everyone around me has the same knowledge and skill level on the subject as I do.
It's hard to see progress over a longer period of time. So by creating a snap shot of your skill level at the beginning of a course, you can later come back to see how much you've progressed. It also gives some insights in what you're struggling with at that time and what you need to pay attention to during the course (or why you need to take the course in the first place).
